Creationism Is Not Appropriate For Children

And I say to the grownups, if you want to deny evolution and live in your world, in your world that’s completely inconsistent with everything we observe in the universe, that’s fine, but don’t make your kids do it because we need them. We need scientifically literate voters and taxpayers for the future. We need people that can—we need engineers that can build stuff, solve problems. -Bill Nye

  1. I think that many non-religious people believe that science and evolution go hand in hand. The claim is that if you deny evolution then you don’t believe in science, that is an unintelligible statement.
    I’m not a Christian so I don’t believe the bible is a revealed word of God, I’m a Muslim and the Quran is actually the only book claiming to be a revelation from God, preserved and written down during the lifetime of the Prophet (as).

    An Nisa 4:82
    Do they not consider the Qur’an (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah, they would surely have found therein Much discrepancy.

    God challenges us humans in the Quran, find the mistakes and contradictions inside, because if they exist then it is not from God.

    We believe the universe is very old, science and religion have never clashed in Islam in fact they moved together to help create new technology.

    No Creator

    To claim that all of creation was self-created or had no creator is completely inconsistent with what we see in nature.

    For example;
    If I told you that you didn’t have a great great great great great grandmother you would say I was wrong. You would agree that you had one but you couldn’t prove it to me. You didn’t create yourself nor did you just appear all of a sudden out of nowhere. Creationism is completely consistent with what we see happening in nature. Using logic we could agree that you had a great great great great great grandmother.

    Likewise using logic we can agree that the creation has a Creator and I’m positive that you believe it. The only problem you have is that you don’t accept what you have been told about what the Creator is. And that is great I didn’t accept the Christian view, I didn’t accept the scientific evolutionary view, but after much reading and pondering I did accept the Islamic view and I think as a scientific minded person you should also check out a few things.–Evolution

    • I respect anyone’s faith or belief but It’s not for me. I will never worship or succumbed to such degree. If it helps people to be better then that’s great. I don’t think God came down and wrote any book. I don’t think God really cares what man does or intervenes in our daily routines. Religion and people do not mix. Sounds weird but “man” is too egotistical and too ignorant. If I was to label my belief, my religion it would be “Love”. That’s my religion.. Love.
